Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Sales Development Representative ready to launch a career in B2B software sales. Whether you studied business, technology, languages, or something completely different, if you are motivated, curious, and a strong communicator, we want to hear from you.

You will learn how to identify, engage, and qualify potential customers through tailored outreach. Working alongside our experienced team, you will gain hands-on experience in sales techniques, lead generation, and CRM tools, setting you up for success in software sales. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to enter the SaaS industry and develop sales skills that can lead to Account Management, Marketing, or Customer Success.

Role: Graduate Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Seniority: Entry level/Junior

Location: UK or Europe (100% remote) 

Compensation: Rate dependent on local market location and experience  

  

What you will be doing

  • Learn how to build and expand Payara’s sales pipeline through targeted outreach using phone calls, email, and LinkedIn Sales
  • Conduct research to identify marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and understand their potential fit with Payara’s product offering.
  • Support the qualification of inbound and outbound leads, documenting key information, and engaging in discovery conversations.
  • Assist the Sales team in transitioning qualified leads for deeper engagement and deal progression.
  • Be the first point of contact for prospective customers, building rapport, answering initial questions, and setting a positive tone for their journey with Payara.
  • Use social platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter for professional outreach and relationship building with new leads.
  • Participate in relevant open-source and developer communities to build awareness and create opportunities for Payara.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to align messaging, support outreach campaigns, and contribute to events or content initiatives that generate leads.

   
 

What you will bring

  • No prior experience required, ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals.
  • Internship or part-time experience in Sales/Marketing within the technology sector will be an added advantage
  • Fluency in English and/or Spanish & German will be a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge in outbound prospecting using phone, email, LinkedIn, and other relevant technologies.
  • Interest in a 100% remote work environment.

Desirable Technical Skills 

  • Knowledge or experience in HubSpot, LinkedIn and Sales Navigator
  • Knowledge of AI tooling

  • Good communication skills with a personable and outgoing phone presence
  • Highly motivated and driven to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Self-disciplined and capable of excelling in a remote, independent work environment.
